Required Technical Skill Set: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST API, MySQL

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

• Java 8 / Java 11 , Spring Boot, REST API and Microservices development
• Data structures implementation and optimization
• Multi-threading, concurrency, and error-handling
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, application design, and implementing large components for enterprise projects
• Databases-MySQL/Oracle. MongoDB etc.
• Unit Testing JUnit
• Exposure to Linux/Unix dev environments

Good-to-Have

Experience with CI/CD practices, pipelines and workflows

Understanding of enterprise security, certificate management etc.

Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role 

• Design, develop/build & Test application code components. Follow Agile practices & Visa coding/testing policies 
• Participate in Solution Design
• Perform unit testing using JUnit, build functional test scripts & automate using Selenium 
• Debugging/defect resolution
• Set-up CI/CD environment & implement/use DevOps tools for automated build, test & release
• Provide insights and recommendations from past experience
• Feedback incorporation as per Agile principle via Show and Tell
• Development will meet over 90% JUnit test coverage at the API level
