Experience: 5-9 years in data architecture, in a senior position

We are looking for an Enterprise Data Architect to help us build, optimize, and maintain conceptual and logical data models and inter-system information flows.

As a Data Architect at HCL Software, you are responsible for the holistic design of HCL Softwares data related processes and data models across our application landscape. You will help to make sure that we adhere to international and local requirements, and use adequate technologies for Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Big Data and Advanced Analytics.

Hands-on experience with SQL is required, knowledge of systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite and of one or more ETL tools is advantageous. You are familiar with data analysis and visualization techniques using relevant tools.

Ultimately, you will design and develop solutions to ensure company information is stored and transferred across system boundaries in an effective, reliable, and secure fashion.

YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will be responsible for tying our processes together across the board. Always question the status quo, and in the process propose improvements on short, mid, and long term. You will be involved in solution choices and solution proposals to achieve automation and efficient ways of working in support of data-driven operations and services.

• Analyze data storage, data transfers, and associated processes. Identify waste, and suggest solutions based on conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts.
• Create high level system/application/service visualizations for our process and data architecture
• Drive workshops and work closely with the various functions to discover, own, and take us through projects that improve our efficiency
• Drive data governance topics in connection with relevant stakeholders
• Implement a data dictionary and other items necessary for metadata management
• For new systems, evaluate the implementation concept against knock-out criteria and other requirements
• Collaborate on a Book of Standards for HCL Software for all data related technologies and projects
• Develop database and ETL solutions to store and retrieve company information, improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements

YOUR PROFILE

• Multi-year work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
• Excellent data management, data governance, and technology know-how, including knowledge about the design of (service-oriented) architectures
• Proven experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
• Very good knowledge in data modeling and database design
• Knowledge of ETL, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, D3.js, Jupyter Notebooks, or R)
• Problem-solving attitude
• MSc in Computer Science, or relevant field.
