* To execute thecustom design solution for the orders in hand in a limited time and therebymaintaining the Built-In-Quality measures in place
* To identify the keycomponent changes and its impact on the surrounding components includingelectrical parameters and without impacting local regulation
* To accurately createthe Bill of Material with Costing
* Must do thefeasibility of the new designs with the manufacturing team and suppliers toensure seamless execution of the order during production
* The incumbent mustalso do the Virtual Design Review and Audit before signing off the Engineeringdesigns
* The incumbent mustbe well versed with the Creo,and Teamcenter
* The incumbent mustbe able to articulate the design changes to suppliers, dealers, and crossfunctional team across the globe
* The incumbent mustalso assess the complexity of design changes and prepare the plan to execute
* The incumbent inthis position might expect to have several assignments and orders in hand atsame time to deliver the design
* The incumbent isexpected to assist global facility to resolve quality issues and design issuesto ensure no impact on the production line
* The incumbent isexpected to collaborate with supporting functions like Demand Order,Material Planning, Buyers and EDCI for order execution.
* The incumbent mustbe well versed with Sheet Metal and Plastic materials and respectivemanufacturing Process
* The incumbent will createthe Material Master and Co-ordinated with Procurement Team
Background / Experience:
* Bachelors degree(or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering with min 5-6 years relevantexperience.
* Must have experience of working in adesign/development environment
* Must have experience from the Power Generation/Genset industry and have designed Enclosure, Baseframe and other mechanicalcomponents for the range starting from 5 kVA onwards and covering but notlimited to 2500kVA
* Must have goodcommunication skills as the candidate will collaborate with team members andothers in the work group, as well as customers and suppliers.
* Must have CAD modelling and drafting support using Creo 4.0
